Senior Dev Ops Engineer


We are looking for Senior DevOps Engineers to help Ericsson build telco-grade applications in the cloud. These engineers will join a newly forming product aaS DevOps team in PDU OSS. Your job will entail building, deploying, and maintaining Ericsson Network Automation product deployments in the public cloud. What you will do

  • Setup customer product deployments in the public cloud using automation.
  • Use Jenkins and Spinnaker CI/CD pipelines to install and upgrade product software.
  • Customer Deployment Incident and Service assurance (including solving customer product deployment issues).
  • Develop, maintain and utilise Platform (Kubernetes) and Product lifecycle management automation (including install, upgrade, backup and restore automation).
  • Develop, maintain, and utilise monitoring and observability tooling to ensure customer deployment SLAs and KPIs are met or exceeded.
  • Help define and complete a backlog of work to continuously improve the availability and resiliency of the Ericsson public cloud deployment offering.


You will bring

  • Experience working with Hyperscale Cloud Providers like Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience working with Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning, Management. & Automation tooling, and technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker and Helm.
  • Experience creating and deploying docker containers.
  • Scripting Development / Automation – Python, Shell, Bash
  • CI/CD Operations / Tooling experience – Spinnaker, Jenkins
  • Problem Solving Competence
  • Knowledge of Linux or Java
  • Knowledge of network and infrastructure monitoring tools (such as Grafana)
  • Experience in how to monitor, scale and handle failure in a cloud environment
  • Be familiar with the latest CI/CD technologies and standard methodologies
  • Passion and love to continue developing your knowledge
  • MSc/BSc level in Computer Science or the equivalent level of knowledge
  • Focus and ambition to understand customer needs on developed features
  • Proficiency in English, written and spoken
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous experience working with OSS products (Nice to Have)
